Thirlestane, one of Scotland's oldest and finest castles, is open each afternoon during the event. Browse through the magnificent state rooms with superb plaster ceilings, probably the finest in the country of the Restoration Period. Enjoy the collection of historic toys in the nurseries and slip down to the Victorian kitchen for a taste of nostalgia. Take in the old laundry and the Country Life Exhibitions and stroll through to the tea room where you can relax over afternoon tea.
