Lauder Golf Club

This pleasant 9 hole moorland course lies some half a mile out of Lauder on the Galashiels road. It is 6050 yards with Par 72 and SSS 69.

Lauder Golf Club was laid out in 1896 by Willie Park Jnr who still holds the Professional record of 70 which he set in 1905. The Amateur record is held by Craig Lumsden who went round in 66 strokes in 1996. With the onset of World War 2, the course was closed and the area became a training ground for Polish Tanks Corps. In 1961, the Town Council decided to reinstate the course, and after much work, the course was reopened in August 1963.
