Lauderdale Development Trust Ltd
The Development Trust operates as a community business to further the economic, environmental and social development of Lauderdale. The Trust is an independent organisation that seeks to achieve sustained community renewal through the self-help and enterprise of its community. It is an umbrella organisation for a variety of social enterprises engaged in the regeneration of Lauderdale.
The Lauderdale Development Trust will, in time, form an income generating/trading company as detailed in the Business Plan. Initially the work of the Trust is project led.
The core business of the Trust is to stimulate interest in all aspects of the regeneration of Blainslie, Lauder and Oxton. To achieve its aims the Trust must foster partnerships and channels of communication with a range of partners locally and nationally. The Trust will lobby, co-operate and assist all agencies associated with the regeneration of Lauderdale and stimulate community interest in the work of the Trust.
